"I was born 16 years ago at Uru village in Kilimanjaro region. I expect to join secondary education next year. I am an orphan. I was grown up under my grandmother’s care on the side of my mother. All my parents are dead. I know nothing in detail about my mother and father because they left me while I was unable to memorize each and every thing. My grandmother is greatly aged and very poor, that she couldn’t manage to look for three children, then forced I was roaming in the village asking for help. Then at TunaHAKI Centre, they have relationship with village leaders, and they referred me to TunaHAKI, and take care of me and enroll me in government primary school.
I dream to be a professional artist. I request good friend and donors to support and keep going our acrobatic and dance group at TunaHAKI. TunaHAKI is togetherness. We need tools like vehicle for transport, acrobatic equipment. Educationally, I hope for support like uniform, school fees, school contribution and stationery. I hope for a permanent home instead of temporary renting like TunaHAKI is doing now. I want to visit poor orphan children like me for exchanging ideas. Our building has no tap water. This is making us uncomfortable to get safe and clean drinking water. I request support.

"The children at TunaHAKI are amazing. When you hear their stories, and the
traumas they have been through, it is difficult to believe that they are the
same smiling, beautiful and friendly children before you. I know this is due
to the work David does with them. Kids that grow up on the streets have very
low self esteem and learn not to trust anyone, and yet these kids, through
their acrobatic routines, are forced not only to trust one another, but to
work together as a team and a family. And at the end of it all, they have
something to be proud of. It’s beautiful and it works."
