Direct Change's African Partners Program funds programs that provide a "direct change" in the lives of orphans and vulnerable children in Africa. Projects that are funded follow the framework developed by an International collaboration published by UNICEF "for the protection, care and support of orphans and vulnerable children living in a world with HIV and AIDS."

St. Lucia Nursing Home is a very special place. It is a small nonprofit hospice for HIV/AIDS patients in Arusha, Tanzania, and it is the only home left for 9 small children who have been orphaned by AIDS. The Pamoja Project is a U.S. based non-profit organization that partners with organizations and individuals in HIV/AIDS ravaged northern Tanzania. They work with locally founded initiatives to support communities in their resolve to recover economically, physically and spiritually from the damage done by the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Elimu Africa; Education for Kids is a small grassroots organization founded by a group of volunteers from the US. Their main objective is to help support educational opportunities for disadvantaged people so they can have access to the most powerful tool for health and success in life: elimu – education.
They are currently focusing their efforts on supporting the Second Chance Education Center (SCEC) in the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania. SCEC is a bridge school to help disadvantaged students who have fallen through the cracks of the government school system.
