"I was born 13 years ago. I was obtained by TunaHAKI at Moshi bus stand. After my father passed away, I was left to the care of my mother who had mental illness. She left me at the bus stop one day and ordered me to wait there until she returned. I waited for one week, but she never came back.
I am now an artist performing acrobatic and dance throughout the local community. I insist our group be sustained so that it can help to make our group travel big distance all over Tanzania. We hope one day to go abroad and learn new technology of acrobatic. I like TunaHAKI because it gives me food and it makes me feel good when people clap.

"The children at TunaHAKI are amazing. When you hear their stories, and the
traumas they have been through, it is difficult to believe that they are the
same smiling, beautiful and friendly children before you. I know this is due
to the work David does with them. Kids that grow up on the streets have very
low self esteem and learn not to trust anyone, and yet these kids, through
their acrobatic routines, are forced not only to trust one another, but to
work together as a team and a family. And at the end of it all, they have
something to be proud of. It’s beautiful and it works."
